(Noblesville, IN) – King Systems employees raised over $74,000 for United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) during the inaugural two week “Season of Giving” campaign ending December 18, 2009.
Over 187 employees of King Systems and its subsidiary, H&M Rubber Company in Kent, Ohio, made pledges to the United Way.
“I am truly amazed by the power of our team and know that our donations will make our home communities a better place and help a huge number of our neighbors during these difficult economic times,” said King System CEO Don Dumoulin.
King Systems proudly partnered with UWCI in 2009 and, according to Dumoulin, will continue to work with the organization on the many important projects it funds.
United Way works with more than 100 certified agencies that help families build stronger economic futures, provide job training, promote health screenings, feed the hungry, and much more during difficult times. United Way directs contributions where they are needed most.
Last year, 96,165 Hamilton County residents were served by United Way programs and agencies; more than half of those served were youth.
“United Way of Central Indiana helps sustain vital human services for those who need help most while reducing such needs for future generations. We are very proud to partner with King Systems. Their support is the difference between a family receiving food, shelter and job training during tough economic times” said Joan Isaac, Hamilton County Area Director, for UWCI.
Ann Frazo, King Systems’ HR Specialist, encouraged co-workers to pledge during the campaign by stating, “Just one less coke a week, means one dollar a week; and that donation, over the course of a year, can help tutor a child, offer medical and cancer screenings to adults, or emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence. When I think of that one dollar in terms of real people with real problems and what it can do, the idea of drinking water one day out of the week makes me feel pretty good.“
King Systems, founded in 1977, is an international leader of quality anesthesia, airway management, and critical care products that manufactures and markets over 2,000 product configurations. The company’s focus is to offer products that make the practitioner’s job easier and more efficient, while improving patient care.
